  • It can take between 24-72 hours before the scalp has settled down and the actual time depends senility of the area. Sometime the extensions can feel quite tight for up to seven days after application.

  • Leave at list 48 hours before washing your hair. Wash your hair one or two times a week.

  • Use only warm bath and showers for next 24/48 hours to avoid melting the bonds if using the fusion method.

  • Avoid rubbing your hair when washing, only smooth down the shampoo and avoid washing the roots. Use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner made especially for hair extensions.   

  • Do not lean over the bath to wash your hair as it will put strain on the bonds.

  • Avoid using conditioner near the bonds, only condition the mid to ends of the hair.

  • Pat dry after washing the hair and apply a leave in conditioner to mid and ends of hair.

  • Leave your hair to dry naturally, avoid using a hair dryer.

  • Comb through with a loop or tangle teaser brush.  Do not use a ball- end brush as it can pull the hair and cause it to break.

  • Sleeping with a loose plait is best to keep your hair extensions from tangling and matting.

  • Avoid rubbing, twisting or pulling your hair.

  • Avoid colouring your hair, only colour your roots/ t-section if needed.

  • Human hair extensions can be cut, straightened, curled and blow dried providing a low heat is used and the bonds are avoided. If the binds are not avoided they can slip, brake e melt.
